im new here. i just bought a 1981 f-100 with a 302.the truck starts and runs but will not idle. alot of the hoses coming from the carb ae plugg off. aot of the hoses under the hood are plugged off. what i need to know is what hoses need to bee hooked up and where do they need to be hooked to. also, are the body panel sold on JC Whitley any good. thanks for any help

 

Check under the hood on the rad support that should have the location of the hoses if not have a look in a chiltons or Haynes to see if those help you.

 

i guess i should have said that i have tried all of the obviouse routes. what i need is someone to spoon feed me the hose informaton peferrably in a diagram form. thanks again for the help

 

What compelled you to pay good money for a truck that won't even idle?

 

first its a ford, second its a classic f-100 ranger and third i cant stand to sit back and watch such an awsome machine waste away
