Today I was at a Stop Light and when I gave the
truck gas to start off..... NOTHING happened.
I pumped the throttle several times and it finally
moved. Drove home 20miles had to keep pumping
the throttle.
Anyone ever had this problem?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Rich
Can you pull codes? The truck is not unlike an F-16 which is fly by wire. No real connection, physical that is so the throttle pedal is a potentiometer. You could also have a fuel pressure problem but this is less likely. Any CEL/MIL/SES lights?
Thanks for the answer! I did a search on the problem and
some sugguest 2sensors on the pedal and fuses under
the dash. I haven't had a chance to check them out but
will tomm. Also, maybe Ford had a recall need to check
that out. Rich
Nope, no recall I am aware of. The pedal assembly is something like $130 IIRC so make sure that that is the problem. I have also heard that you can just buy the electronics but not sure how that is working out. Good luck.

Welcome to FTE Rich.
If the fuse blows you will not have the on/off/on throttle. It will simply be off.
What year is the truck? I think there is, or was, a TSB or recall or something about the pedal, but that was only on the adjustable pedals and I don't think it started before 03.
