My kenne bell for my V10 was advertised the make 6psi at 2000rpm but it doesn't seam to make the full 6 until about 3000rpm at heavy acceleration is this normal, or dose it need a rebuild or something. when going up a hill it will make 6psi going up a hill kind of lugging the engine at about 1500 rpm, Any advise would be appreciated.
I bought the auto meter mechanical gauge for two reasons one the price abotu 80 dollers and the scecond was that the highest the lowast the mechanical went was 20 psi and the lowest i could find a elcetric gauge was 30 psi. but I think that the gauge works well. is there any way to tell if the gauge is not reading right?
You can hook your line to a pressurized source with a regulator and external gauge to check its accuracy. Depending on which AM gauge you have, you may be able to calibrate it mechanically.
I've had an AM gauge on mine for several years now. I do also have a BBK boost memory/display so I can compare the readings between the two, any time I want, and no problems thus far.

why don't you call KB and ask him yourself? Those guys there are friendly and helpful. Be advised, that V10 kit he used to sell is no longer available, according to Kenne himself the last time I called him.
because trying to call them is a joke there line is busy 24/7 as you probably already know, so i figured i would just through my question out there and see if i could get any explanations, Those guys are really friendly and helpful but its a pain to get through to them. And i know that they quit making the kit like three years ago thats why i bought mine off ebay.

that's a good reason, although I have not had any problems getting through. FYI the kit was dropped ten months ago according to Kenne Bell as of two weeks ago when I called him to ask about it. Now that my truck is paid off and out of warranty they go and do that to me!!
Some one told me they quite making them along time ago i think it was a tunner i talked to, mabe they were talking about whipple because they quite making there v10 kit to, But you could sill get a Vortect for like 4500 and i think some other companies still make them.
Let me ask a simple question here: when you are expecting to see 6psi are you holding the pedal to the floor? I have the KB on my 5.4 and when I mash the go pedal I have the advertised pressure instantaneously. Of course as soon as I press 'go' it's at 2000 RPM but the pressure is there.
Pops: His name is Jim Bell. Not Kenne Bell.
Finally: If you want to get through faster, call the sales line, act ignorant and ask to be transferred.
Trust me i have called the salse line and done tech support i dont even bother calling the tech line, And i have talked to jim bell once through me off though because i thought he must be kenne's brother or somthing not the owner, nice guy, when i mash it it gets the 6 psi but when its at 3000 like half way down it only makes 3, which i dont get all im wondering if its normal. Or if its just the nature of the beast
Sorry, you are right, it is that darn Ultram pain killer fogging my brain. I have talked and emailed Jim on occasions. He kinda set me up by answering the phone saying "Kenney" Bell. Kinda wondered if he was saying he was him or if it was Jim. But y'all knew who I was talkin' about at any rate.
Ah Meanv10, yes.... You will not get full boost unless it is all the way to the floor. While your bypass valve is closed at any pressure above 0, the supercharger is limited in the volume it can pump through the throttle blades themselves. You could be spinning the crap out of the supercharger, but it just can't pull more through the throttle body. Think of it as breathing through a straw.
