Unhappy Head gasket problem??

Just replaced 6-month old radiator in 74 F-100 (302 V8). The seam blew out between the tank and the core. Also noticing that I am burning oil, and engine seems to miss. Can't tell if it's running rough because of the exhaust leak or if I have a serious problem within the engine. Was rebuilt nearly 2 years ago. Recently replaced timing gasket as coolant was leaking out of the engine. Any ideas on what may be the problem?

does your temp gauge work? If so is it running too hot?

temp gauge is fine. recently replaced thermostat. no signs of overheating. wondering if there is a correlation between exhaust leak and excessive pressure in radiator.

If its not overheating and your coolant level is ok then there is not excessive pressure in the cooling system. Your radiator cap is supposed to let the pressure out. Since your truck is a 74 I assume you dont have an overflow tank for the coolant so if there was high pressure in the system the cap would open up and coolant would come out. If none of this is happening then you just have a bum radiator.
