It is time. All my parts are back for the kids 390. I attempted to buy a manuel for this motor from this web site. Nothing happened TWICE. So, Can someone please give me some toques for:
Intake manifold (Edelbrock Performer RPM)
Mains and rods, Heads...Can't think of anything else, but if you do, I appreciate it. Got a Edelbrock 850 CFM with a 1" spacer, Edelbrock cam and lifter package, headers, Melling high volume oil pump, dual row timing set, 8mm spiral woung wires, breakerless ign. with a flame thrower coil, CHROMED VALVE COVERS ( I am sure that is at least 10 more H.P.) and 30 over 9.5:1 pistons,69cc heads, Whadayuh think? Will I get one horse /cubic inch? Attaching it to a C-6

I don't have the specs handy but do a search for "Torque specs" and you will find them. I think the intake is 25ft lbs for the edelbrock. I think you will hit 1HP per cube but in all honesty you are over carbed by about 100cfm at least. If you are running the performer plus cam you would be undercammed and if you were running the RPM cam you will be a little overcammed.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-Jun-02 AT 07:51 PM (EST)] Yes, it is a Performer RPM cam #7106 with lifters, Taylor wires, Ignitor II ignition, and the carb is a Edelbrock 750 CFM electric choke, Did I say 850 CFM before? I was wrong, I meant 750 and I was just thinking 850. I thought it was supposed to be just right for this cam set up. I will look for those torques.

Still cannot find torques for above. If anybody knows them, I will be checking back. Thanks...
Look deep into the computer screen........Go to your workshop manuel for the 390 FE......return to your computer and type in the torques for the main bearings, rod bearings, and head bolts........When you hear the sound of burning rubber you will awaken refreshed, and ready to detail your motor....
