I really like the 08's as well; if I could afford one, I would get one. So my vote is go for it.

If there was a sure way to get help for this problem then every car company along with most financial institutions would be in big trouble !!!

Haha that's no lie! I don't know if it's just the thrill of having a brand new truck or what.. I've put a lot of work into mine.. Turned it into one of the sickest trucks in Georgetown.. But then I think of things that make me sick.. For instance the front end, headlights, it makes brush guards look big and weird.. But hell I love the interior.. Of course it feels smaller.. I know when TNT and I test drove an F350 KR, we felt like we were much closer to each other opposed to my truck..

Then of course I'd have to reinvest some money again to lift it up, retune it, put some mods on it.. Line-x the bed.. Sigh.. Wanting a new truck makes you think about what you spent on the old one..

I hear ya, if only mods were a one time thing we would all be golden.
your truck is real nice, but do what makes you happy. Just dont let it be an impulse is all the advice I can give. Let us know what you do

I haven't a clue.. I've just been shopping around online.. Found some loaded for 45-50k.. I think I could get bout 20k or so for mine.. Maybe.. Then of course I'd use X Plan for it.. I'm going to head down this weekend and talk to a dealership.. See what I would be looking at if I actually did it..

Exactly! I'm thinking and double questioning everything.. I've put my heart into my truck and If I decide to get an 08.. I want to know its done for the right reasons.. I only have 41k miles on my 04.. So I'm taking that into account.. I'm also considering the 6.4 is new.. It has bugs and maybe it's better I hold off for a year or so.. Like the 6.0.. Wait for it to get out there before I grab one..

Face it, you're hosed.

Go buy the new truck. It won't stop calling to you until you bring it home.

I feel for ya, I dred the day I need to let mine go. I've got a 03 with the 7.3 and love it. I tell everyone I'll never sell it, they'll need to bury me in that thing. Eventually, I suppose, I'll have to retire it. Not yet though lol...Good luck wtih whatever you do. Like the other guy said, just don't do it on an impulse!

I'd keep your 6.0.

Low miles, not having problems with it, you spent $$$ modding it.

Not having to deal with regens is a good reason to keep your 6.0l as well.

Newer isn't always better.

OH MAN!!! Think of the "truck time" you've spent with your machine! You've made this one YOURS. It's unique...just like you Pal. NOBODY has another one exactly like it!

If you go pricing a new one, that's just the beginning! Look at all of the aftermarket time and expense you have in the current truck...and think about how much more you have to add to the dealer price to get the new one to where your current truck is now.

Trucks are kinda like women....it's cheaper to keep her!

Just my 2 centavos worth!

And BTW, I'm headed to Alice next week sometime....I may just have to drive though just to check your truck out!

Joe

i can feel for you i went thru it too.

I have a 07 F250 CC SB SRW FX4, that ive done a few $k worth of mods too. 15k miles

I searched all over WA, ID, MT, OR, WY for a Superduty with the same options i have now except diesel... I even kinda leaned towards a manual for mileage.... anyway i found 1 that was close the only difference being it was a long box and mines a short, and its obviously an 2008.

apparently they didnt want to sell it too me.

i've owned my truck for about 1 year.

i owe about $34k on it. i pay around $600 a month

they offered me $26k for my truck, plus said i had to come up with $6 down and my payment would be $900+ a month

so sorry to say but its not worth it... $14k out of pocket plus an extra $300 a month .... i dont think so.

with your truck diesel to diesel ..... i'd say its not worth it wait a few more years.

Don't do it Storm! You don't need the '08. What has it got that you don't already have?

I never sell my trucks, I always keep them. When one gets paid for then go get the next one. I keep the newest one as my "Sunday, go to dinner" truck and don't let a scrach get on it. The next newest is the daily driver, light work truck. The old one is the heavy work truck and light duty fun truck with a few marks in the paint. The older one is my hunting and light off-roading truck and I just try to keep the fenders on it. The oldest one is the mud bog, make a new trail through the woods truck. Except I have broke my cycle lately because my 2001 middle age truck is my mud bogger!!!

Wait and get the 2010 when they come out Strom!
