advice on 5.4L V8 converson to 6.8L V10

I'm looking for any advice on converting from a V9 to a V10. I would appreciate any input on companies that can supply a reliable crate motor and what is required for the conversion.

Thanks!

a v9 to a v10? seems like a v9 would be a rough running engine. and a firing order? sorry, lol. sometimes you can get a crate motor from the internet. depending on what you are looking to spend. do you want a new motor ow are you looking for something used. if used, try some wrecking yards. that way you might be able to get the entire package.

The easiest way, and probably cheaper, would be to trade/sell it and buy a V10 truck.

I am thinking you would have to change the computer with it. Cheapest route would be buy a low mile one from salvage yard with computer and all. You can buy them with a warranty. Still a big pain in the rear to put in. I agree likely easier to sell and buy v-10 truck. Good luck!

I agree!! Sell it or trade it and buy the one you want!! Conversions get real exspense sometimes!! Have you thought of just supercharging the 5.4? That would put power levels at or above the V-10!! THat may be cheaper than switching engines out!! Just an idea!
