i do a fair amount of offroading...and realized as i was cleaning my air cleaner today that the last time JIFFY LUBE "inspected" my air cleaner - they re-seated the aircleaner poorly and damaged the rubber gasket...nice huh?
so now my MAS has a fine layer of silt on it...and the plastic intake tube has a fine layer of silt on it as well. (i did not touch the wire or try to brush it off)
so....
can i clean that litte wire?
and...
should i clean the intake tube?
my guess is that that probably has something to do with my less than decent mileage.
oh yeah spray the crap out of the MAF also clean out the mas completly, you may want to hit the throttle with cleaner if all that dirt has been in there as well
