48-50 Hood

Looked in the Swap section just now.

Looking for a solid 48-50 Hood for a friend in Ventura County. Dents not a problem if the metal is sound. Hopefully somebody within 100 miles driving distance.

I have three in good condition, but I'm in NorCal, south of SF. I'll give him a real good price for all three. It'll be worth the drive.

Another hood

Hey - I could also use a 48-50 hood. Anyone closer to Central NY ?

Jess - I'm not sure where Los Banos is but I am in Syracuse NY. I can say it doesn't sound too close !! ( LOL ). just doesn't have that East coast ring to it.

Hi rusty50F1,

these 48 to 50 hoods weigh about 50 pounds stripped down, I just weighed one today.. shipping might not be to bad through greyhound !!!

I've shipped a hood once all the way to the east coast. The local Greyhound crew had to wait for a bigger, newer bus in order to get the hood inside the baggage compartment. Even then, they had a tough time getting the back end (cowl end) through the opening as the hood is slightly wider than the opening.

I actually went to the Greyhound station to assist in getting it in. With a little maneuvering, it went in.
