Is there a problem using a vertical auto oil filter mount in a 2wd pickup? I am picking up a 360 but the owner wants to keep the horizontal mount to use on his 4wd truck.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
There would be no problem mounting one in my truck as far as clearance goes. I believe I was told that the horizontal mount was much better for oil flow purposes though John. You might consider getting one from a junkyard.
Thanks, I am picking up the engine along with a 390 crank and rod set. My plan is to resale the engine, and rebuild another 360 that I have into a 390 and offer it for sale. The seller is concerned that the vertical mount wont work in his 4wd and wants to keep it.
