I left the movies.. Went to see Dragon Wars, btw damn good movie! Anyways some snot nose high school kid rolls up at the light in a Chevy 1500, lifted, 35's.. Starts cracking jokes.. He's on the passenger side of me so I throw it in 'N' and romp it.. Give him a nice taste of soot.. He looks over and goes "What's wrong with that piece of $*@&? Sure looks broken if it smokes that much".. Poor teenagers, they know NOTHING about a diesel.. So I brake torque it, decide I'm going all out for this one.. He doesn't have enough cylinders to even remotely come close to beating me.. I boost up 15 lbs, light turns.. I let loose.. Soot, Tire Squeal, White Smoke.. It was nasty.. He got ahead of me for a split second and I tore past him just screaming.. He came up to the next light with his windows up and made an immediate right turn..

Poor kid.. He's going to have issues the rest of his life now.. The big black Beast just pawned ANOTHER Bowtie.. When will they learn?

This Ultra Comp Street tune is NASTY.. I'm running it with no studs, it screams :-P And with the straight exhaust.. It's EXTREMELY LOUD! It makes my ears hurt if I hammer it under a bridge with the windows down..

 

That's what I'm talking about! You are right!, there are kids around my area that has the same attitude problems, thinking that they have the *****. I have proved them wrong before! Ford rules! By the way Storm, I am progressing on getting me some studs put on and a tuner from Matt!

I can't wait to try out the Ultra Comp Street tune. Do you know how much HP and TQ you're running?

I am currently running the Aggressive Race tune from Matt. It's sweet! And I'm getting about 17.5 mpg from the last fill up. That's even better yet!

With the truck idling at the stop light, I have people looking at the truck like "What the He** is that?" It's cool....

I also run a 4" MBRP 304 turbo back w/ out the muff and cat. So yeah, I know what you're talking, it's loud.

 

ultra comp street? is that a new tune? if so, please can i have a taste.mmmmmm this so am good!!!!!!

Oh I let him ahead of me by choice.. I wanted him to feel just a little good.. Course it looks hillarious when there's nothing but a massive cloud of smoke and then something black slingshots past you.. It gives that whole jaw hits the floorboard effect :-P

Trust me.. I could have left him at the light without even brake torquing..


Not sure.. I haven't dyno'd my truck.. It's enough to handle for now..

It is one of our tunes we offer.. I will need a liability waiver signed by you in order for it to be released.. Our Ultra Comp tunes are designed for vehicles that ARE head studed.. However I take risks that others don't need to take.. I can't promise you nothing bad won't happen but its possible..
If your around the Austin area I can surely give you a taste LOL..

 

ok this might be a dumb question but are u sayin that the tune is making your exhaust louder than what it normally would be? I have an edge but ill have to get one of these SCT as soon as my college budget can afford one haha

but be careful with TOO much boasting

4 to 500 hp and 8-900 lbft of torque is GREAT...

but half as much as some 6 cylinders Durges I know of

Another fast ford. I cant wait for my sct from matt as soon as I free up some cash. I just spent all my extra on bed liner equiptment for my biz.

 

Yup. The exhaust note is quite a bit louder with the ultra comp tune. But that's only at WOT that you would notice.

 

I got smoked by the bowtie yesterday afternoon. A guy with a Duramax that had obviously been modded somehow had his way with my powerstroke. I was shocked. He came up behind me and then past me. Then had a slow rolling stop when a Redlight turned green before either of us had come to a stop. It didn't take long to figure out that I was outgunned, he pulled out pretty strong and kept on pulling.

My truck is set up similar to yours, SCT with Extreme race file from IDP with a 4" turbo back Magnaflow exhaust. Runs strong, but not strong enough on this occasion. Made me think terrible thoughts about bigger injectors, turbo, etc.

 

i read new duramax runs 14.5 stock- thats pretty quick!

 

but this was not the newest body style duramax. It was not an '08, therefore not restricted by the additional emission stuff, ie. particulate filter.

i read that the new duramax is faster than the new '08 powerstroke but not 14.5 stock. probably somewhere around mid 16's, i'd guess.

 

I highly doubt that. I've driven a few and they aren't that fast at all stock.
