Does anyone know the difference in the turning radius of my 01 F-350 V-10 regular cab/long box vs. a 08 regular/long box and super cab/short box? I need to order an 08 and I need tight turns because I plow snow. I'd like the Lariat package, but I can't get it in a regular cab. Not sure I'm going to like the short box either. Bummer!
I don't know but man, my truck turns like poop!! I'm a CC LB, but it doesn't explain how poorly my truck turns. I drove a doge and that stupid truck turned great. I'm gonna try grinding my steering stops down...
The coil sprung trucks turn much better. We are getting hung up on our leaf springs, with the coils the tires can move further.
Yes, I think a coil sprung truck will be about 5 foot tighter turning radius than a comparable leaf sprung truck. FYI, an F450 chasis cab can be had with a 141" wheelbase and the wide track front axle. That thing must turn like a honda civic. Ford has all these ratings listed on there body builders advisory service site. Sorry I don't have a link.
Look at the 08 F350 with the wide track option. I think you can only get it in the crew cab but my 08 450 crew cab long bed turns much sharper than my 05 F250 long bed did.
