Tempature Sensor

Well guys I replaced the O.E.M temp sensor with a new after market gauge, in my 1995 F-350 with a 351 windsor. I unbolted the old sensor and installed the new sending unit for the new gauge when I was all done and when I started the truck up and the old gauge one the dash started working again, the new one works great and gives good and true readings. Is there another temp sensor that I missed maybe. Or did it disconect the wrong one. Thanks for the help guys.

two sensors, one sends temp to computer and one for temp gauge.

My book shows it on the RH side near intake manifold a little farther back than the ECT sensor on the LH side

I found right after I posted here I ran back out with my spot light and start to take another look I found it. It was covered up by the distributer and the plugs wires. But now i am running good and the truck is staying cool. Thanks for all the help guys.

You have to put your ECT sensor back in or your truck will run rich, because the computer doesn't know what temp. your engine is at.(thinks it's cold)

Radialarm- Once I found were the sender for the temp gauge only. I put the ECT back into its place. I did notice that my truck was running different when I first took the ECT out, But I thought that was the temp gauge sending unit. But now everything is 100% A.O.K Thanks for the help.
