73 lincoln 460

i have a 460 from a lincoln that i want to put in my 2wd 78 f-150. what motor mounts do i have to use?

You need the factory big block mounts that came in trucks with 460's.

or you can buy motor swap mounts. youll also need a rear sump oil pan kit.

Two wheel drives use a front sump oilpan.

To the OP.

is you truck a 4x2 or 4x4 ?

4x2's can use the 460 OEM mounts from a truck

4x4's require mounts like that the ones L & L sells

I used the brackets from transdapt for the 2wd. Very good product and reasonably priced. My 79 4x4 460 I used motor mounts from a 74 f250 4x4 w/a 360 and used the 400 perches/towers. They are alot cheaper, around 10 bucks each.

A front sump oil pan will work on the 2wd, but it will be a pain to remove/install the oil drain plug. But the plug can always be relocated, as that is what I did.
