Question Trying to help husband

I need to know what the torque is for the torque converter to the flywheel. I hope I got that right......

In order to answer your question correctly we need to know more information. Basically; what truck, what engine? The torque specifications are listed in each section of the Haynes manual. In every manual there are specs listed somewhere.

And the way you wrote your question sounds perfectly right. He is having to attach the torque converter to the flywheel and the torque he is asking for is "How tight do I make the bolts?" Get back to us with the details and we'll find your answer.

Ok, Its a 1985 F150 5.0 302FI 1/2 ton 2wd Automatic transmision. Is that enough info? Please let me know, and thanks. =)

Hi the torque spec is 20 to 30 foot pounds. Auto trans use a flex plate and man. trans use a flywheel. I hope this helps.

Question ok new question...

Yes thanks that helped. Now for the next problem....

Need to know where all the pully brackets go. Maybe a diagram?

The other day I went into the local ford dealer to get a diagram for the 1990 F-150 I was working on becouse the Haynes manual did not have the info I needed. If you go into the parts dept. of the ford dealer in your town and ask nice I'm sure they will help you out with the dia. you nead. I was just looking thru the haynes manual I have that covers 1980 to 1991 ford trucks and there are no good dia. or photos that show the lay out of the brakets.
