Hello, I am no expert and dont claim to be. I can not recall a "S-****" built in on any of the old Fords with a built in . I have drove or worked with Fords a long time.The oldest one I have worked with though was a 1934 flat-bed 1 1/2 ton. I dont know what year truck you are working with or looking at? If you would post the years-sizes you may get more correct answers with better info. The only "built in" I have ran across are on some fork-lifts and maybe an old tractor. I do think that they have to some degree been outlawed. I am sorry I donk have more on this for you, but I am sure there will be some others here who know more.
