pump up the power
There have been discussions on other forums of the use of propane as a catalyst. They set up a fixed orfice & regulators to inject a set amount of propane for a given engine load. I run a similar set up on a 2.4L , 85 Toyota NA diesel. It is wise to set up a temp switch to ensure you do not inject when the engine is cold or while the glow plugs are on (kind of asking for a BOOM). Mine is using a forklift electric shutoff before the BBQ regulator. The shutoff is wired to an aftermarket cruise control. The only time I use it is on the hiway @ a constant speed. Mine is set up for fuel economy not power. But if I recall properly there were setups flowing more propane & a switch on the injection pump that only kicked in when the throttle was floored. The power set up seems to be risky if a person does not have the "tune" just right, also a pyro guage would be required so as not to burn up your engine. I don't use the Toy to haul or tow, it's job is just a fuel efficient run about . Commuter car to work, pick up parts in town, run to the local auction. Hope this helps, Cheers Rick
