transfer case

transfer case
i have a problem with my transfer case i have a 77 f-250 with a NP205 the truck will not move even when i lock in the front wheels. sometimes when i rev up the engine while in drive it will move about 10 ft and then slip back out into nuetral any help would be appriciated

Sounds more like a trans issue to me, is it auto or manual?

Did this problem just arise out of nowhere or were you working on the truck prior to this happening??

The only way that an NP205 won't work is if it is blown apart. Check the tranny fluid or clutch engagement.

it is a C-6 and it just happened i will check the fluid level

I Found The Problem I Have A Leak In The Hose Comming From The Transmision Cooler And Was Low On Fluid Problem Is Now Fixed
