Tires

I noticed many of yall fellas talking about 35's quite frequently. Well my concern is what sort of modifictions should i do if i want to add 33's or 35's on my ford f150 4x2 reg cab stx? I already know i need to do a leveling kit which i plan to do first, but what else should i do? I mean i hear many forums explaining about adding gears?? Is this a step i should even consider if i only want to run 35's. Morever, i read on one forum that running 35's would mess up my axle's is this true?? How much of risk would i be taking running 35's on my stx 4x2 reg cab!! Furthermore, i've been too one truck shop and the guy told me i would probably have to trim my fender?? Where exactly do they trim, i really don't want to lose value bye doing this or would it? Well any advice would be very much help, so i can make up my mind, i know many of yall have expierence in this area.
Please help give me much needed advice!
Thanks ed.

What year? if it is a 2004-2007, all you should have to do is get a 2.5in levleing kit. That will fit 35's with no fender trimming. If your thinking bigger, you will need a full-on 6" suspension lift.

2.5 inch leveling kit should work fine. You shouldnt have to worry too much about axles because most problems are associated with the front axles in a 4x4, they are weaker than the rear. Gearing can help your pulling power and acceleration that is lost from oversized tires. Whats your gearing now?

You may have to trim the lower plastic valance in the front to clear them while turning.
