trans prob part 2

Trans problem
Hey folks,
First time posting here and hope somebody can help me. I have 2001 f150 s/c and just recently had to put the truck into 4wd because of snow on the road..(yes i said snow in the middle of sept) anywaywhen i pull back on the shifter it went in ok then i put it back out when i was finished and 15 min later it popped back in on its own. so i pulled over and went through all the gears 4h 4l and it was ok on the shifter but now the 4x4 light stays on as well as the low range. has anyone evr encountered this problem adn maybe have a idea of what it might be..

so are you saying your transfer case is stuck in 4-Lo?
if so it sounds like you threw a shift fork....this happened to me one day while going down the highway...transfer case popped into neutral...i went through the gears...and it stuck in 4-Lo
