My father has a couple of 1958 mercurys and a 60 and 61 lincoln continental with 430's or 383's in them, does anyone know were to get parts for these engines, and what vehicles were these engines offered in. this may intrest you mil1ion

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-Jul-02 AT 03:29 PM (EST)]what i have heard is that they were put in mercurys, edsels, and lincolns. which is what MEL stands for. you probably knew that already. they're basically a big block version of the FE. the 462 was also in that family go to yahoo and search "430 462 MEL" and the first one at the top of the page is a site all about the MEL. it has lots of good info on them
