hey everyone, i was wondering if it would be ok to set up a nitrous wet injection system on my 2002 f-150 5.4l. got about 80,000 on it. i was thinkin maybe a 50 shot. i was wondering if this would be ok. look at my signature, has all the goodies i have on it. any thought are much appreciated.
I would not run the nitrous with the Superchips tune in there. To much timing!
Most have a tune that backs some timing out when they run nitrous.
Also,,whatever you do do not hit the revlimiter wile your spraying. Could go BOOM!
Look into a safety switch that cuts the nitrous at a certain RPM before you hit the revlimit.
ok thanks alot. yea i figured i would have to take the tuner off. would the kit come with a safety switch or would i have to take it to a performance shop and get it tuned/safety switch installed??
Most kits come with a WOT switch that activates the nitrous when you put the peddle to the floor.
I have a custom tuned switch chip with about 4 different tunes in it. Street tune/track tune/116 octane tune/nitrous tune. All at the flip of a switch!
Oh and I think my rev-limit is set at 6400 RPMs
