Front Axle identification?
78, F150 4x4 with a 400, unknown mods before I bought it.
From what I can see, on the driver's side of the vehicle there are two stamps. One says 353 and the other 77. The one on top says 353 and the bottom 77, both are upsidedown.
On the back of the axle it says 072 in large numbers.
Does it mean it's a 3.53 ratio? what does the 77 mean and the 072 in the back? Thanks!
