Thanks.
The dealer told me that the 350's turning radius was 56 feet, and the 450's was 49 feet. That to me is a significant reduction, and that is why I also got the wide body on my 350.

Look at firehawk198 pictures. They are awesome. He got the wide track with his 350.

Thanks,

It is a Montanna not sure of the model but its 35 foot long and Dad had it weighed the other day and it was almost 15k. He not only pulls that but he also pulls our boat behind it (you can see it in gallery behind my truck). He pulls all that with his 7.3l crew cab short bed srw 3/4 ton. And it pulls it just fine except for a little bit bouncy of a ride other than that the truck handles it just fine. But he is getting a 1-ton drw with wide trac. But the only reason he is getting a new truck is because his dad is retiring so this will be the last year he can get the d-plan.

It is the better turning radius. With the with the wider track, it allows a greater lock (49degrees I believe with the wide-track)

It changes the front track from 68.3" to 74.8".

He actually has the 450

In all honesty if I was getting a SuperDuty, it would have this option - because it allows the 17" tires (more off-road tire options) but the better turning lock.
One thing I would like to know - does it have the zirked ball-joints like the 450 or the "lubed for life" ball joints of the 350?
bnmccoy, are you able to check this?

Because if its the zirked joints, that would just sweeten the deal!

Just went out with the flashlight to take a look. Unfortunately the only zerks are on the front axle u-joints; same as my 06 F-250....

No zerks on ball joints, rod ends, etc.......

I have pictures in gallery of the wide track front relationship to rear....

The advantage is the turning radius. It's incredible! I got spoiled by our 08. Now I'm back in 04s and the can't hold a candle to the 08s in pretty much every aspect.

Off topic Real nice area you live in. Enjoyed towing down 81 to 66 to 17 to Fredericksburg on the way to Kings Dominion and Va. Beach this summer. Beautiful country on 66.
