I bought some six inch speakers and i had to trim a little metal around it and put some new screws in it. Didnt look the greatest but once you slap the door panel back on no one will ever know
My speakers were jacked, so i jsut bought some cheap roadmaster speakers at wally world. They didnt fit without a little triming around the original hole. I just used the screws that came with the speakers. sounds better than stock but thats not saying a whole lot.
they are 6 1/2. i have 2 pioneer speakers. but i have a problem getting them to play, its not the speakers or radio, but sometimes when i hit a bump it stops playing, but the radio stays on. ive rewired everything
You can find out what sizes will fit by going to one of those big chain electronics stores and ask the guys in the car stereo dept. to look it up for you. Fords usually have a lot of room but wierd sizes.
I have rears in my regular cab '92. Are mine the same size? The sides seem to be 6 1/2", but I pulled my rears out today to take a look and they are oval shaped, like a 6x4's or something...?
