Banks Sixgun Problems
I have a Banks Sixgun (came with the truck when I bought it). My truck was acting strange, asked for advice here on FTE eveyone said it sounded as I would need to be reflashed. Took the sixgun off (to take to dealer) started truck to take to dealer and truck ran fine, put the sixgun back on and starting acting strange. Then I noticed that one of the pins on the sixgun socket was loose and very close to breaking off. Called Banks for help to see if it could be repaired. No luck, sorry for your luck, we can sell you a new one $$$. Any other ideas? Thanks

i'd get the sct too, my edge was doing the same thing, and there was no problem with the pins.
sooner or later that banks kit is going to cause you problems anyway, it's better to build power the safe way with SCT...

Ask for Eric Carusco when you call Banks, I've had nothing but good luck with him and great customer service. I even sent them a six gun that i bought off of ebay to get reflashed for the PDA and instead they sent a brand new six gun tuner out to me and still only charged me the reflashing fee.

BTW, I do notice everyone around here running an sct from Matt at Spartan and they are happier than ever with these trucks. Its probably what I'm gonna be going to here soon but I just need to find a display that is similar to my PDA.

I believe you can run the PDA with the SCT as long as you don't set the banks system to anything above the stock level. You may have to unplug the banks unit to flash the tune in and then plug it back up, but I think BadBrad60 is running his Banks PDA with his SCT.

Thanks, I really like the PDA and didn't want to lose it, I'll definitely be looking into getting an SCT soon then.

Thanks Dustball8504 I will give Eric a call. Who knows maybe I can get it fixed and put it on ebay and get a SCT. Anyone want to buy a banks paper weight. Haven't seen one bad post about the SCT and Matt's tunes. Can the SCT Livewire display egt or would I need a gauge?

I had got one of the first livewires on this site. Gauges and an xcal II or xcal III is what I would recommend. By the time its all said and done the price is the same. You'll be much happier with the gauges. Trust me.
