EGT gage install

Has anyone installed one yet? I want to go pre-turbo I know on my 6.0 I went in the driver side manlfold. Can this work on the 6.4?

well i used to drive semi trucks with big caterpillar engines and the pyrometer or as you call it egt was allways after the turbo

The problem with installing the sensor on 1 side of a V configured engine is you lose half of the information the gauge could possibly tell you. What if you have an injector failure on the other side of the engine? Your pyro won't tell you this if your monitoring the wrong side. If you want readings pre turbine, it is best to take these readings just before the turbo where both exhaust manifolds converge into the turbine inlet.
