I agree with you 100%. But even with his added weight in suspension and tires he was still 22xx pounds under GVWR per a certified scale. I haven't called ODOT to verify any of this but I've been thinking about it
I'm not gonna take offense to that from a guy with a username of "DUMmel". I'm not sure what inadequacies you're talking about but I am 6'2", if you're talking about a certain region of the body I will say no more, you're speaking for yourself with your interest in other guys' goods, AND the only vehicles I have that are lifted at all are strictly for offroad use. Glad you registered to FTE just to sound like a nitwit.
Do not worry he does not have 9 nines lives Scottie, the troll hunters have been called and are arming themselves with some nifty tricks , some are not so nice.
Personally, I think Dummel (somehow a fitting name), is off to a rousing start, considering the phrase "invalidate your inadequacies", is actually a double negative, thus meaning "validate your adequacies". So, his complete lack of understanding of the English language has become apparent, when he uses it to insult others. In so doing, he shows off his own need to validate his OWN inadequacy. Ironic, don't you think?
I wouldn't mind if dummer could come to Washington for a little visit. The underside of my truck could use some cleaning. Maybe I could get some of the Northwest Ford Diesels folks over to show the underside of there trucks also.
Never been gigged for my bumper height and have driven right by plenty of staties. I have 4" usupenion lift and run 36" tires. and my bumper stops right flush with the bottom of body it is a 77 F150. I went out and measured my bumpers with my 35" winter tires and it is right at 29" to the bottom. If youre truck is newer where the bumpers are lower than the body I wouldnt worry. Just dont give them a reason to pull you over and you will be fine.
yep that's the same loophole i described earlier in the the thread. The measure in the back, so load the bed when it's time for a measurement. This would do wonders, especially if you have soft ride lift springs....

Couldn't you make some sort of drop down bracket to bolt to the frame to lower the bumper height? Something removable so you can still get your clearance off road too? Maybe something like a Reese pin??? Or does it have to be more of a permanent style? Being from southern Ohio, and working on a lifted 79 Bronco with 37s and a 4 inch lift, kinda wondering myself,,,,
