I Have A 2001 F250 And I Recently Bought A Set Of Brand New Rims And Tires From The Ford Dealership. I Went From 16" Rims To A Set Of 20" Rims, I Have No Idea What Size Tires Were On Both But I Do Know That They Are Stock/factory Size. The Problem I Have Is The New Rims/tires Rub On The Front Leaf Springs When The Steering Wheel Is Close To All The Way Turned Left And Right.
What Should I Do?
If You Were Wondering On How Much I Payed For Them And What Year Truck On Got Them Off Of...here You Go.
I Paided $500.00 For The Rims/tires , Mount , Balance , And Speedo Caliberation.
They Came Off A 2007-2008 F-250,350
It Makes The Truck Look Alot Better Than Those Steel Wheels With The Permant Hub Cab Fixed To The Rim.
I Had An Inside Guy , He Is The Head Of The Accessary Department At Ford And Is In Charge Of Lifting The Brand New Trucks That Come In. They Just Charge The Fees For A Mechanic To Take The Stock Stuff Off And Alittle Extra.
with an 01, that means they used spacers to adapt those rims to your truck. Luckily, you got them cheap. I would never trust a truck like ours on spacers.
You didn't mention if your truck was a 4x4, but either way, it needs a lift to accommodate the 20".

ACTUALY IT DIDN'T NEED SPACERS THE BOLT PATTERN MATCHES. SORRY ABOUT THAT I DO HAVE A 4X4. SO WHAT SIZE LIFT TO ACCOMODATE THE 20" , LEVELING KIT OR FULL BLOWN LIFT?
I'd say at least a 4", but someone else that knows for sure will chime in. Since they bolt right up, they have to be after market. You could call the MGR and see what they recommend.
The Dealership just wanted your money, they know better. The offset on the 05-08 rims is much different than the offset required for 99-04. Have you noticed how your old rims were like a bowl(deeply cupped from the bead to the lugs) and your new rims are like a plate(shallow cup from bead to lugs)
I would take them back and get a nice set of rims that fit correctly.
