A what?? as in a mustang convertable? a galaxie convertable? As far as I know ford never made a "ford cabriolet", that would VW or audi. and I def dont think they made a 87-96 pick up cabriolet. Unless I miss understand your question, you may be better off asking in the general automotive forum.

Hey, I have been told they were called a Cabriolet or Centrurion. They were a van or cab & chassis on a 1 ton frame with a dually bed. They had dual captains chairs in front and folding down bench behind the captains chairs before the cab was cut and the bes was added. I also believe they were only made from the late 80's - early 90's.
Well there is a such a thing as Centurion, but I've never seen a Centurion like the one you are describing... The most popular jobs they did on these older trucks was to convert pickups to Crew Cabs like mine or convert Broncos to suburban-like 4-door SUVs.
One of the coolest centurions I have seen was a 1 ton crew cab dually that had a bronco rear end grafted on instead of a box. no seam or anything, pretty cool looking

Yes, the Centurion came along after they quite converting the Cabriolet. They also made a mid 90's crew car f-150. This truck was built by Cabriolet Truck and Van Specialists in Constantine, Mi for pulling campers. Below I've posted a link to photos of the exterior of a Cabriolet. My neighbor has one he bought new with his 5th wheel camper but won't sell it to me and I always thought it was neat and would like to get one to tow my stock car with.
my neighor had one forever it had a diesel and only 50,000 miles on it with lots of new stuff and just sold it for 3500 the other day! it was a good price to the right person they are very ugly but are perfect to the right person he used to have a flat bed with a ramp that would go on top of the existing bed to haul two snowmobilies
The one I saw a lot around my home town must have been a 1 ton chassis. They showed horses and travelled for rodeos and stuff and hauled a pretty big fifth wheel stock trailer with theirs. Handy I guess, cuz they could haul their family and sleep in it if they needed to.
