Help:Solar Pool Heaters

I am trying to figure out a way to build solar heater panels for my pool. Does anyone know how to do this? My uncle built them 20+ years ago on his old house and used 1/2" black orchard-drip line into 2" manifolds. I called him and he says he just drilled 7/16" holes and shoved the flexable black lines in which then sealed under pressure...HAHA...I can't even get 1/2" into a 1/2" hole without it crimping.

So if anyone has any ideas there has got to be some way to build my own rather than fork over almost 3K for some black flexable plastic ones pre-made.

BTW my pool has a surface area of 720 sq. ft. and is about 29K gallons.

Thanks

Are you running this on a seperate pump, or through your pool filter pump.
More info please.

Through the existing pump; its a 1 & 1/2 hp, that I installed for the purpose to later add solar heaters; being told it was more than enough, which it is because when the sweep is on the jets over power the sweep. Originally it was to go 2 stories but I have since built a shop with a south facing roof line that it single story and installed 2" lines from the pump to the shop.

I based this on the recommendations of one of my subs who did my finish pool plumbing and several professionally installed systems plus the fact that all of my pool plubing is 2" lines.
