Sputters just off idle.....

Sputters just off idle.....
The engine started dying occasionally just off idle, like when coming to a stop, taking off or going around a slow corner. It also sputters now and then when taking off under light throttle. I programed the Edge back to stock and it went away, but now it's sputtered a couple of times, again just off idle, with the stock tune. So, I'm wondering what might be causing it, something that the chip makes worse.
There are no codes now. I just had it in the shop to get new glow plugs installed, and they also replaced the backpressure sensor and the intake air temp sensor which had bad readings. I was hoping that maybe something there was causing it but no luck, it's still doing it.
Any ideas? TIA

Have you changed your fuel filter lately? That will deffinitely cause this. But there could be some other things. If you change it drin the fuel water separator when you change it, And spray some brake cleaner on the little screen that is toward the top of the inside of the housing. Its between the housing and the fuel regulator, it tends to get clogged with crap. When you do all that fill the filter canister full of sea foam when you install the new filter.

Have you tried replacing the CPS. Those symptoms seem to fit a CPS going bad. For only about thirty dollars might be worth just trying to see what happens. Hope that helps

OKay next guess
To go along with the fuel filter change to clean the fuel screen. Those can get really dirty really fast, but thats just a shot in the dark.

Its either that or I did have some others too. its just the easiest to do first. I also had my ICP sensor not working right and that had similar effects. And IPR o-rings could cause some of it too. Someone else will have some more info on it.
