this is interesting. years ago we destroked a 400 pontiac to 330 inches, for a boat race engine. that sucker would wind up. conversely would a stroked 352 gain much torque? is it worth doing?
Yes and yes. Stroking will give more torque cube for cube than boring will. IF you have access to a 428 crank I would use it. It would be even better to go out and pickup a 360/390 block and use it. There are more pistons available for this combo and you will get a few extra cubes.
You can just bore the 352 .050 over and use std. bore pistons to match whichever crank you want to use 390 or 410. You also need the 390 rods as 352's are longer.
54 5 star! Yup and then I come along and think I have found another 390 and poke it out another 30 and have pistons in the radiator.

Hey, that's what sonic testers are for. But seriously, it's a good use for the old 4.00 bore 352/332 blocks. I built one ( 352 to 390 )back in '84 and it's still running around in something. The guys I sold it to keep the engine and put it in something else every time they get tired of what they're driving.
