ild go with 5x7 plate speekers, they have a woofer and a seperate tweeter. a 6x9 would be to big and mostlikely to deep for your location. do you already have a sub in your whip?
no i dont have anything yet
i am taking out the 6 cd changer because it is already messing up and im installing an alpine stereo
i think i will go with those 5x7's
i wanted to but a subwoofer..those tube types so maybe it can fit under the backseats
any suggestions?
what style truck? i have a crew and mtx makes a box to fit under the rear seats that hold one 10" sub. i cant shake store windows but it sound great in the truck and thats what matters. ive had all types of systems over the years and i think that simpler is better. people try to make the stock speekers sound like subs and it ends up distorting and sounding like crap. ild add a sub and wait on the interior speekers.sir mix alot, metalica, nwa, slipknot, or tool???
i have a 2003 lariat supercrew
i know theres also a compartment behind the seats and i was thinking about maybe squeezing some woofers in there
also im kind of confused http://www.techronics.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=1892
does that mean it comes with one 5x7 and one 6x8? because that would be perfect
my box goes under the seat on the driver side rear. the seat can still fold down. jl audio makes a sweet one that mounts under your ctr consol/cup holders. i think that add states both sizes cause they are specialty sizes
im guessing around 600.00 ish the mtx was like 275.00-225.00. if you go with the mtx take out the sub and make sure its pluged in brfore you mount it cause mine was unhooked and i only found that out after i put my truck back together (not fun).shawn
