5.4L New pulleys

5.4L New pulleys
I was wondering is anyone has put any new perfornace pulleys on their 5.4L. If it was hard to do, any adverse effects, lots of power increased? Just basic informantion on if its worth to spend a couple bucks and buy performance ones.

I assume you mean underdrive pulleys. I put a 2 piece on but did it in conjunction with Efans so don't know if they do much by themselves. You do have to watch the voltage at idle, I replaced my Alt. with a 200amp and it now runs under 12V at idle. I am sure it would have run over 12V without the UD pulleys. With my stock Alt. it ran over 12V. I wouldn't recommend a 3pc set. You'll have to remove the belt, fan shroud and fan to get to the pulleys, then the water pump pulley simply unbolts off, the crank pulley requires an impact gun to remove and put back on correctly.
