`56 Front Shocks
I`m thinking I going to need new shocks on the front of my `56 f-100.
They are stock and would like something a little better than what I find from Monroe. Am I going to have to change the shock mounts in order to get
some Bilstein, Rancho, or the equivalent. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Gary
I have no problem using Bilstein shocks! Only thing is Ive got to make
new shock mounts and without purchasing new ones don't know what
configuration to make the mounts. Its kind of the chicken & egg thing.
If anyone can help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated.
If I knew the correct shock to buy I`m sure I can whip up a mount.
Thanks again.

Take a look.
I'll chat with my techs tomorrow and find out how hard it would be to modify or Bilsteins.
Thanks for going through all the trouble. But I need front shocks.
Those you listed are rear shocks and different than front. Cant
use them. But if you can come up with something great.
Much appreciated.

I do not have anything for the fronts listed but I do have stats on many of them. You can measure what you have and compare it to the charts.
Except for Bilsteins offroad stuff, they do not print the specs on their parts.

They not only did the shocks but the brakes also & now I have a lifetime guarantee.
I don't know what they used, however I could probably check.
