Mike,
As far I understand it, a Blower and a Super charger are the same animal. Operated by a belt off of the crankshaft. This opposed to a Turbo charger which is driven off of engine exhaust gases.
I have never heard of a blower for an FE, then again I have never searched for one. Sounds interesting.
They are the same animal but usuually more people refer to the roots type supercharger as a blower as it stick out of the hood. I call them all blowers.
Look up blower drive service they will have what you need. The only problrm with a blower is that you cannot use a big distribitor. Will need to use a stock size one.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Oct-02 AT 04:30 AM (EST)]mlf72f250 that is for the intake manifold ONLY. never mind they are both only for the manifolds. I guess I should look before I leap.
Yup, I leap before I look, too. That's why almost all of my posts have the red "last edited" text on the top. ;-)
True, that's only for the manifold. Add to that, between $400 and $800 for a good used 6-71 roots blower, another several hundred for drive sprockets, tensioner, distributor modification/relocation, and the adapter to put the carb(s) on top of the blower, and it gets expensive fast. And we've not even covered intercoolers (aftercoolers), new radiator, or bottom end mods.
I've thought about it a lot for mine. There aren't many things cooler than a 6-71 popping out of your hood. But, for now, given the expenses, I'm sticking to conventional mods (carb, cam, headers, etc.) Maybe someday? ;-)

Hey, 1Quick75,
That was an interesting link that describes a low-cost 390 stroker.
Was there another one that shows the blower setup?
