'95 4.0. Jump on the throttle and the vents close, defaulting to the defrost I guess. Let up and they come back. Vacuum leak somewhere I suppose, but I've looked everywhere and can't find anthing. Where is the vacuum canister? Is it behind the battery? Whatever that is has good vacuum going to it, but nothing coming out. Need your help again!
I had the very exact problem a year ago. My fix------I connected a new hose to the old one at the oval ball---then---I pulled it through to it new connection--then--simply reconnected it on both ends. It took me several trys until what I did I super glued a peg to both the old and new end at the connection before I pulled it through the dash and then when I got my mitts on it I cut the glued end off. Remember----to make it longer than stock so you won't come up short just in the off chance you accidentally push it threw a loger route. Try it. I hope I've helped.----Respectfully Boz

I had that same problem, and it was a pin hole on the black plastic line coming off the A/C-Heater housing in the engine compartment.
