I checked the tech folder, but the only information about springs and their differences was the part number conversion. Had nothing about rating. The only rating was a generic one for all f250/350 trucks and it was like 6380 lbs at the ground. My truck has aftermarket front springs with 3 leaves, and had 7 leaf rears until my accident when I put on the factory springs and 3.5 inch blocks instead of 2 inch.
How heavy are the "A" springs? I notice that unless I REALLY load my truck down, it then comes CLOSE to hitting the overload springs. If I were to actually get down on them, the *** would be dragging the ground and the main leaves would have to invert.
Is there any way anyone has found to modify this? I think after 1 to 2 inches of drop it should be down on those springs.
I'll get some pictures later if it will help clear it up.
Not the auxiliary part of the spring, but the entire spring.
I mean, there are all these different springs. The excursion guys put "B" Codes in. But what does it mean? I've heard of guys swapping in "X" codes in the front. Are there any numbers behind it, or just guessing as to which springs are heavier?
