1/2 tank diesel 80 degrees 687ft above sea level
i thought i was supposed to be in the high 13's low 14's!!!!!
horrable let me tell ya, i was trying to look at my boost trip the lights and not go over holding the break PLUS it was my first time ever i was skakin badly with nerves
Who cares what your reaction time is. Just take your time, get ready and leave when you want to. The clock doesent start until your truck rolls out of the beams. BTW, I went 14.0 @ 95 with stock tires and XCAL II.
Good rule of thumb is to boost launch at a low amount. Around 10lbs or so... The key is to reduce your lag time but also increase your tire bite. I generally launch around 8lbs on street races.. I tend to take out most that dare to play with me.. You'll find your sweet spot over time..
xtreme race from id
i know it will do better than that,i ran against a newer style lightning and he had a different pulley and dyno tuned it at 394 rwhp and he only ran a 13.5 fastest time of the night for him, most were high 13's low 14's.It had to be the track!
It was a bracket race and he had 13.3 on his time and i had 14.6 and he ran a 13.542 and i ran a 14.652, he beat me by very little but that mfer was haulin *** after the 1/8th, i wish i had nitrous lol

I was so nervous the first time at a track that I managed to stall my truck. It's an auto tranny too!! You'll get used to it and I agree with Storm. 8-10lbs of boost. I watch my boost gauge and when it gets to 8 pounds I ease into the staging and hold it. It does take some practice. Also, I wait until the other car stages so I'm not holding 8-10lbs and heating the Torque Converter to much.
So i dont want to leave in 4 hi at 2200 rpms? Thought more rpm launch w/o spinning would be faster?
my first launch was pedal to the floor and brakes coulldnt hold back anymore..... so i took off.....i was halfway down the track b4 the other guy staged I felt like an idiot
still 14's is a respectable time.. Think about it. Some of those v-tec honda punks put 10k into there cars and still run 16's-17's...lol
i have to interject here... only because i built honda drag cars for ten years.
and have put MANY vtec honda punks into 11-12 second range for around 2500 bucks.
i can build a honda that runs in the 10's naturally aspirated for well under 10k...
but back to the original.. bro, those are respectable times for your FIRST time out.. you will get much better with practice.
a pro tree is a tough beginner tree wow, you did well.
your times are respectable for a stock fuel system, a stock turbo /injectors.
if all you have really are a straight pipe and an SCT you're doing great , that is a high MPH for a 7000+ pound truck my friend !! nothing to be disappointed about.
