01 excursion will not idle.

My 01 5.4 excursion will not idle without my foot on the gas pedal. Any ideas? Thanks for any help in advance.

Idle Air Control Valve on the back of the intake manifold.

Replace.

make sure you ask for the gasket. ford doesn't include them in the box.

I bought a wells iacv from autozone 47.00 bucks yesterday and it came with the gasket. Twenty minutes later she started up and idled just fine. Thanks alot for the help, you nailed the problem perfectly.
