Well after having my 2003 6.0 XLT for 4 trouble free years I figured I would go and check out the new 6.4's. 5 hours after walking into the dealership I walked out with the keys to my new 2008 6.4L CC Lariat. Auto Tow boss, 3.73 LWB Forest green/pueblo gold. Tomorrow I will be driving to the local tire shop to swap out the tires for a little bigger more agressive look. Other than that all I plan to do to the truck for now is sprayed in bed liner and some type of bed cover. Sweet riding truck, it is so much more refined than the 03. The dealership I bought from sells both Ford and Dodge so I figured I would check out a Dodge just to be sure. It took me 30 seconds to decide to walk back across the parking lot to the Ford lot..... there is no comparison in my opinion.

 

Congrates on your new truck, im sure you will like it, have loved mine from the start its a great truck.

I'm with you on that, doesn't the tow boss come with the 4.30 rear-end?

Is the 3.73 in the standard equipment column and then the 4.30 rear end listed elsewhere in the options?

 

Are you sure its not Tow Command?

The "Tow Boss" is a package only available on DRW F-350's... upping the GCWR to 26,000lbs.
It includes the 4.30 rear end, along with a few other goodies.

 

Well..... sorry for the confusion. It is tow command duhhh!! I said to myself I know I'm not going nuts but then I researched what tow boss even was and said that can't be on my truck. So I re read the sticker and felt like Homer Simpson. Oh well at least they can't take my first grade report card back.
