I have a 1978 F150 that I put a 4-core radiator in, but when I drive somewhere and then shut it off, it overflows out of the overflow tube from the neck. This isn't a big deal, really, it is just a little bit, but I would like to put an overflow reservoir on it.
I looked at LMC Truck, but they don't have anything in their catalog for this year model. Also, I bought one from AutoZone a while back, but it is rather small and I can't really find a place in the engine well to mount it. So I was hoping I could find one that was more fitted to the 1978 engine well.
I got a 16 inch billet overflow tank from Ebay for 30 bucks. I fit it to the side of the radiator mount using a piece of aluminum angle stock from home depot.
I used a ( speak softly ) Chevy truck overflow bottle. Mounted beside the rad on the rad support right behind the drivers side head lamp. Total cost $5.00
