Lube port??
Monday, I replaced the ball-joints on my wife's 2000 f350 4x4. (not to bad she helped and we were done in about 4 hours). At any rate, I noticed that the steering knuckles have a port that goes from the top into the hole of the knuckle where the axle goes through. It is on the side opposite of the brake caliper. It has what looks like a vacuum port on the top of the knuckle, with a cap on it. My first thought was to put a grease zirk in the hole and fill it with grease. Then I thought maybe I should ask around and see if I can findout what the port is supposed to be used for, and go from there.
