Oil Pressure

I have a 77 f-350 with the 400 6.6L. I bought the sunpro gauges I hooked up the temp and the battery gauge but i couldnt figure out how to hook up the oil pressure. any one have them in their trucks or know how to install them? thanks dan

electric or mechanical? mechanical comes with the white tube, you just put the correct size fitting/adapter on the tube, screw it into the engine and run it to the guage. Caution: dont over tighten the fittings onto the white tube as it will weaken it and may lead to premature failure. As for the electric model you just screw the sender into the engine and run the wire to the guage.

it is mechanical. i know how to do it but i dont know where to put it.

The oil sending unit threads into the top of the block, right behind the intake manifold, in the back. A word of advice - don't use the plastic tubing because it leaks after some time. Sunpro makes a copper line, which is better.

Like with anything else, you'll know if you put it in the wrong spot. I cant help you much on the oil sender location as I have a 7.5L. perhaps post in engine forum for the location?
