Water Seperator question!
The other day I was coming down a fairly long hilll in my 04 CC w/6.0 and my water seperator light flashed on for a couple of seconds. At the same time my truck also felt like it lost it's rpm's, Although it didn't die. It came right back to life when the light went out after I came off the hill. When I got home I drained the seperator for 25 seconds like the book says and haven't noticed any issues since. Is this normal when the water seperator get close to being full? Thanks!

sounds like it may have had some water, and you drained it. since it hasnt happened since i would say you did what you were supposed to do and everything should be fine now. keep an eye on it and make sure you buy fuel from a quality station.

Another possibility is a FICM harness short; it has happened to me a couple of times, an on th highway it happened just like you describe, I saw the water in fuel light, felt a loss in power and then the truck came back to life and all was good. I never realized it was a short until it happened at night and I saw the glow plug light flicker.
