460 heater line

460 heater line

I've got a mud truck that I stripped the dash and heater out of. I ran the heater hose from the engine output back to the input for now. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to just block off the outlets for the heater hose or if I have to keep it circulating? I doubt it is possible but if it is it'll free up a little clutter and make me happy =)

Actually you can. There is a recirculating system built into te cooling system for applications where there is no heater, industrial apps,

Hello all;

I have never done it before on a BB Ford but I have successfully done it on several other motors. It should not be a problem. Try it and just watch your temp after you fire it up.

that's how i run my 460, both ports blocked with plugs.

the hose between the water pump and intake is the recirc/bypass line, so you don't need to run the heater hoses for recirc.
