Heater Hose Question 302 Engine

Silly question but has me stumped. The 302 I installed in my 73 F-100 had been in a street rod so heater hoses connections were all plugged. Obviously the bypass hose is in place and the lower hose connection goes to one heater hose. My question is, does the second heater hose need to be routed into the intake? If so, is it the hole directly behind the waterneck? If not the intake, where's the hose connect? Thanks a bunch, wife wants the truck out of her garage!

Hello pullin and Welcome to FTE

I think what you describe sounds right. Should hook up behind the waterneck.
