What coolant to use?
I have a 2000 PSD 7.3L that I'm replacing the water pump on and flushing out the coolant system too. I use the truck for a lawncare company pulling trailers all day every day and snow plow with it in the winter and want to know what is the best and most heay duty coolant I can use for the truck?

If you're doing a full flush, I'd go with the Shell Rotella ELC, the stuff that's red instead of green. It does not require any additives, which is nice to not have to worry about. You do need to make sure all the old stuff is out though, or they will gel when the two combine.

Rotella ELC and Peak Global Lifetime (which you can find at WM) are the same stuff. You could also go to the Gold flavor that they put in the later trucks. Mine has it, but I'd go with the red kool-aid if I was doing a complete change...
