lurches at 65 mph

lurches at 65 mph

95 F-150,4.9L, manual transmission. Runs fine in town, At about 65 mph the engine starts to lurch. I changed egr valve, egr sylonoid,plugs and plug wires. Any other ideas.

it was the tps causing mine to do that. should have a code.

where is the tps located? have any idea how much it is?

Welcome to FTE

Either on the side or the bottom of your throttle body........a Haynes manual can give you a better idea and has the tests for it too. I bought one at Advance about $38......took it back after I didn't need it. Many here recommend using a Ford part rather than the parts stores for that though......probly $50 or so.

check the fuel filter. if the pump is getting weak or the pump is restrictive it may be running out of fuel at that point.
